Strategies for Success
We work with employers and employees to find a job that fits. We offer information, orientation, and training on ways to successfully include employees with intellectual disabilities in the workplace.
|
Who do we help?
- We help clients of Post-Secondary Education, Training, and Labour (PETL) and Social Development (SD) that have intellectual disabilities and are over 18. High school students requiring case planning may start case plans in their graduating year.
- Individuals who are legally entitled to work in Canada
- Individuals who are unemployed or underemployed (may or may not be on EI)
A client is deemed ready and eligible to access service when the client has an identifiable employment need in relation to one of the four employability dimensions: career decision-making, skills enhancement, job search, and employment maintenance.
The client must also be willing and able to actively participate in the labour market, and must commit to the services offered to develop an Employment Action Plan.
