ADAPT Agencies
N.B. Association for Supported Services and Employment (N.B.A.S.S.E) is an association of member agencies providing activity-based day services and employment supports to persons with intellectual disabilities. All member agencies provide these services following the "ADAPT" standards outlined by the Provincial department of Social Development.

Note: At 18 years of age, persons with disabilities may be eligible for a Disability Pension through Social Development. Call 1-866-441-4340, choose the language of choice and press #2. Have your information ready, including: medicare, date of birth, and contact information.
At 19 years of age, persons with disabilities may apply for supports for daily living under the Disability Support Program (DSP). A plan can be developed with the support of an Independent Facilitator, who can be requested during the initial call to Social Development. Call 1-866-441-4340.

NBACL is a provincial voluntary, non-profit organization with 20 local associations throughout the province. This is an advocacy and family support organization that works to ensure that people with intellectual disabilities are enabled to live, learn, work and play alongside people with no disability as valued and contributing members of our communities. NBACL provides information and training to families and organizations relating to: childcare, inclusive education, employment, affordable housing, justice, transition from school to work, recreation, leisure, volunteerism and more. They also offer on-line transition modules and a disability support program (DSP) for people aged 19-64. The DSP is for people with a long term disability that substantially limits their ability to carry out regular daily activities.
